REBECCA GOODYEAR has a wealth of experience in branding, PR, marketing & digital, with a passion for health, wellbeing and beauty. With a diverse career spanning over 20 years in fashion, beauty and the natural products industry, Rebecca continues to work in these fields today on a consultancy basis.

Rebecca’s first full-time job was as a “Design & Production Assistant” in a small luxury fashion company, where the company ethos was “all hands on deck”. Having studied music, she credits much of her business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit to the experiences she had in this company. These included: travelling to Peru on numerous occasions to oversee product development of collections and quality control of production; managing early email marketing campaigns, forecasting, buying and projections.

From this company she moved to a more corporate setting, still in fashion, which she soon realised was not for her non-conformist self; she spent a lot of time ticking boxes and incredibly bored. Thankfully, a maternity cover role opened up for her at the smaller sister company of the corporate and she used this as a stepping stone before landing another maternity role with a nineties-noughties cult handbag brand. Here Rebecca would stay for three years, before the double-dip recession hit and the company ceased trading. This role saw Rebecca travel to Hong Kong and China, as well as developing the private label side of the business.

Rebecca’s blog, formerly known as Biteable Beauty which can now be found here, has won multiple awards, and Rebecca herself has featured on judging panels for Cosmeeting Beyond Beauty Paris, Natural Products News Retailer Awards, Natural Health Magazine International Beauty Awards and The Soil Association Beauty Awards.

Rebecca regularly speaks in public about a variety of topics including: natural beauty, health & wellbeing, pregnancy & birth. Rebecca is a motivational speaker and has travelled the country to corporate (including UBS), educational, trade and consumer environments, speaking on a wide range of topics from making better life choices for a better you, your clothing life cycle and environmental impact, how to get more bang for your marketing buck and much more.

2020 sees two new projects launching for Rebecca –

1) The Natural Directory – the place to discover the very best in natural, organic, sustainable and ethical products.

2) Project Biteable Beauty – born out of the realisation that perhaps being a green beauty blogger isn’t as good for the planet as she wants to be, Rebecca has repurposed the site to help others create beauty products and health remedies at home, cook delicious healthy recipes and keep their bodies looking healthy on the outside as well as in.
